Nerja

Nerja is a a cozy village about one hour from Malaga airport. The area has a microclimate thanks to the location surrounded of mountains. For the most part, it is a couple of degrees warmer in Nerja than in Malaga.
The city is alive all year round thanks to its location and the constant crowd of tourists who want to discover this gem. There is also a large proportion of residents here, which also contributes to the city being equally pleasant to visit all year round.

La Vita e Bella

En av våra favoritrestauranger ligger i Torre del Mar.

Burriana is the area in Nerja where you find Carmen Rooms.
The area buzz with turism all year around, but really blooms out from April to October. With a peak in July and August.
Playa Burriana is a beautiful beach is the most popular one among turists and locals. The beach is 500 meters away and the frontline has plenty of restaurants and cafés. Even shops and bakery fits. The street is single way and therefor a lot less busy with cars than many other beaches. Walking to the beach is easy, but the way back might be steep. Luckily you find  Carmen Rooms just in the beginning of the hill, so no need to worry!

Within walking distance from Playa Burriana and Carmen Rooms you will find Balcon de Europa. When in Nerja, this is a 'must-see'!
The Balcon de Europa was made famous by King Alfonso XII and his statue stand at the far end.
The church 'Iglesia El Salvador is situated on the edge of the Balcon square and close to what used to be a guards tower.

The legend says that if you stand in the circle of the star at the end of the Balcon de Europa and make a wish, your wish will come true.

Frigiliana is an adorable village just 3 km north of Nerja.
This little cozy white village has the most spectacular view over Nerja and the sea.
​Frigiliana has a great selection of restaurants and some of them are set in a square with a beautiful valley view over the sea. This is a highly recommended area to visit.
